Our Remodeling Process

Every project, from a bathroom to an ADU, follows the same five steps. You always know what is happening, what comes next and what we need from you.

  1. Call or request an estimate

Call (760) 834-5089 or send a request. We schedule estimates Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and ask a few questions so we arrive prepared.

  2. Free on-site estimate

We visit your home, measure, look at existing conditions and listen to what you want. It usually takes 30 minutes to an hour, and there is no cost.

  3. Written proposal and contract

You get the scope, materials, schedule and payment schedule in writing. If permits or plans are needed, the proposal explains the steps and how they affect the timeline.

  4. Build, protect and update

We protect floors and furniture, seal off work areas, coordinate trade partners and clean up daily. You get regular updates and a heads-up on any decisions coming up.

  5. Final walkthrough

We walk the finished work with you, complete the punch list and leave the space clean and ready to use.

Why a clear process matters on a remodel

Most remodeling headaches come from the same few things: a scope that was never written down, a schedule nobody explained and trades showing up in the wrong order. Our process is built to remove those. Whether you are planning a kitchen remodel, a bathroom, an ADU or new concrete, the steps are the same and you always know where the project stands.

Permits, plans and inspections

Some projects need nothing more than a written proposal. Others, like home additions, ADUs and pools, need drawings, plan review and inspections at several stages. When that applies, the proposal lays out the order of plan review, construction and each inspection, so the timeline is realistic from day one.

Process FAQ

Questions about how we work

How are payments handled?

Payments follow the work: a deposit to start, then progress payments as each stage is completed. The exact amounts and stages are written into your contract before any work begins, so you always know what is due and when.

Will I get a written contract?

Yes. Every project gets a written proposal and contract with the scope, materials, schedule and payment schedule. In California, home improvement work over $500 requires a written contract, and we would put it in writing either way.

Who will be my point of contact?

Owner Saul Mejia. He gives the estimate, plans the work and coordinates the trade partners, so you are not passed between people.

What happens if we change something mid-project?

Changes happen. We talk through the cost and schedule impact first, put the change in writing and only then do the work, so there are no surprises on the final invoice.
